Tail Light Problems Etc

Okay. My rear tail lights are in bad shape. I have a 91 sedan LX. My center piece is warped so that water gets in under it. My left and right tail lights get full of water, and it is amazing that they still work. Obviously I need to buy new ones. I was wondering if the JDM sedan tail lights were any different than the USDM, and if so, what way. Do the JDM tail lights have red turn signals instead of the amber.

Remove your tail lights. Drill a 2-3mm hole in the bottom of them. Reinstall tail lights. That way the water drains out instead of filling up :)

Now, will the tails be the same on the sedan, or at least similar to those on the SiR? God I love those SiRs. Best. Honda. Ever.

You should buy new ones that don't leak. Drilling holes will fix the water build up, but water will still get in. This runs the risks of blowing out your bulbs. Also the metal contacts will corrode and you will have to get new ones. Might as well buy new lenses instead of fixing all the little problems.

You could always drill the hole at the bottom of the taillights and get a plug to plug the hole and when water gets in....remove the plug and all the water will come out. OR you can just go buy a new set of taillights for pretty cheap either at a junkyard or on ebay.:)
