yeah there is a regulator on the stock turbo when you take it off you will boost at 9-10

Explain how taking the regulator off would make for more boost.
looks like someone read half a page of the zilvia FAQ.

i don't care how it works all I know is I was told by a guy who installs sr20's and he takes it off every sr20 and i took it off my friends turbo it boosts 9-10...they all boost 9-10 when you take the regulator off

i believe that it would work because the regulator releases pressure in order to keep the boost level low [7psi]
i would rather get a boost controller, for later down the road with upgraded turbos, to adjust the boost but if you cant afford one then use whatever you need to,

The SR T25 has a .5 Bar Wastegate Spring... meaning that it takes .5 bar to open the wastegate... boost controllers are regulators that limit the amount of pressure to the wastegate spring. via a solenoid that cycles on and off like a fuel injector (Duty Cycle). this is why by removing a regulator to the wastegate you cant raise boost. there was some yahoo on the first page of the Zilvia FAQ talking about this where he was promptly disproved.
