Nology Hot wires

I was going to upgrade my wires and plugs and i decided on NGK plugs because they seem to be a pretty good plug with everyone. But i'm not sure about which wire to go with. What is the deal with these Nology hot wires (300 times more spark?) Also they are very expensive, much more than any other brand. Are they worth the cash? Which wire is a good choice?

there's no proven hp increase with the Nology HotWires. the external grounding strap is what causes the spark to look brighter in the examples... but it doesnt increase voltage or truly make a hotter spark. just merely a "distorted" spark that looks big, but burns no hotter than any other spark from the competitors' wires.

personally, i use Magnecor wires... but then again, i have a turbocharged Prelude

How much gas would I safe by using a better ignition system?

As long as your stock system is in good condition: just about NONE. No hp increase either. If you use N2O or forced induction, it might require a mild upgrade. But on the other hand, as drift likes to point out, the Apexi drag Integra, with twin turbos, runnning the 1/4 in the eights and 155+mph -- uses the OEM H22A ignition system.

The Honda OEM ignition is one of the best systems out there.
