evo engine swap

i was wondering if anybody had ever heard of/done a 420A engine swap over to an evo 8 engine...just a thought

same engine as the eclipse/talon turbo just reversed

But nobody actually had a real answer for this. will this take up more money than having the gst put into it?

If no one posted an answer last week, I doubt any new information will pop up this week. I would rather see it added to the last thread than a new one started, but thats just me. As said over there, at least it spins the same way and faces the same way. The rest is just as difficult as a regular 4g63 swap, and hardly worth it when AWD turbo DSMs are 2k to 5k and come with AWD to boot. ;)

hey man i just started the swap from my wrecked evo8 to my 96 eclipse rs tonight, so far the only thing i had had go wronge is i dont think the starter will clear the block but i dont know yet becuase i dont have the engine out of the evo yet but when i get it out ill post up some pics, peace

I hope you realize this thread is from 2 years ago... You really need to look at the posted dates before replying to a thread.

yes actually it has been done, there was a thread about it in the dsmlink forums.
here are some pics, i guess all said and done it costs about 7k to do the swap.
