Camshafts are going to be one of your biggest HP increases, with the exception of turbo. Keep in mind, you will need new valve springs and retainers at a minumum. I suggest getting new valves and adjustable cams gears as well.

The cams will give you abump in power but depending on how ratical you get with them you will need higher c/r pistons.

so thats static though right?, cuz it doesnt take into consideration cam lift/duration and I thought that affected it alot.

Have you done other mods to your car? Because generally cams aren't a beginners mod...and no offense, but with a question like that...it seems you may be new to modding...no disrespect meant. Just making sure you know what you are getting into...

yea that was a noobie question but Im not exactly new to modding cars. Ive been away from modding cars for a pretty long while but am back after picking up a GSR like 2 weeks ago. i wanted to see how performance parts were performing these days. If there were any major gains or improvemnets in technology that i wasnt aware of.

just do the basic installs before u get a set of sticks. get ur typical Intake, Exhaust and HEADER. also dont skimp out on the valvetrain when u install the cams. stage 2 on a VTEC motor should net u over 20 HP. i've heard good things about BuddyClub cams

Here is a link to a dynamic C/R calculator. http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/comprAdvHD.htm
You will need to know your altitude and just put in 0psi for the boost. Also you will need to convert mm to inches, you can use 25.4mm to 1 inch to convert to inches.
