Keyless Entry Programming

Here are instructions for a 1998 Escort.Do this while sitting in the car with the doors closed and all of your transmitters with you.Cycle ignition from OFF to RUN(do not start)8 times within 10 seconds ending in RUN.All doors will lock then unlock to confirm programming mode.Press ANY button on remote.Door locks will cycle to confirm programming.If you have any more transmitters to program(up to 4),then repeat last step.That is push any button on transmitter just like you did before.When done with all transmitters,turn key to OFF.Locks will cycle to indicate end of programming.Now you are done.If your car is a 1997,then follow above directions except only cycle the ignition 5 times.
