I need someone who knows for sure what needs to be done in order to flat tow a 1997 t-bird without burning up the transmission. :confused:

depends on how far you tow it. driveshaft is the safest bet, but under 50 mph for less than 50 miles should be ok in neutral.

I always wondered, i've seen Jeeps, and mostly small FWD Economy cars being flat towed, do they have to worry about burning up their tranny? I also remember seeing a Z06 being towed, but i cant remember if it was being flat towed, or not.

Keep in mind they may have had a standard transmission.

Jeeps are 4X4 which means that they can put the transfercase in nuetral and have no problems.

pull it from the rear drive wheels wont be on there ground dont hurt it or go get you a 16ft. trailer get it all off the ground. uhaul rents them
