92 Lincoln Continetal Replacing head gasket . Using new bolts the Ford
book on pg 03-01-23 step #5 says a bolts these are 4 longer bolts and B 4 short bolts torque A 37ft. lbs. B 45 ft pds.
C52 lbs. D 59 lbs. Next step back off torque on ist long bolt then torque to 18 ft lbs. then go additional 85-105 Degrees. On short bolts back off
torque 18ft lbs then additional 65-85 Degrees. That is my question how
do I get degrees using torque wrench reads in ft lbs or N-mThanks Ringo7

Good question.
Degrees is the measurement around a full circle.

Complete circle = 360 degrees
Half circle = 180 degrees
Quarter circle = 90 degrees

On a clock, 90 degrees would be the same a 3:00. So turning your head bolt from 12 noon to 3 pm would be 90 degrees, a bit shy of that would be about 85 degrees, and a bit past 3:00 would be 110 degrees.

01:00 = 30 degrees
02:00 = 60 degrees
03:00 = 90 degress
04:00 = 120 degrees
05:00 = 150 degrees
06:00 = 180 degrees
07:00 = 210 degrees

And so on.

go to auto parts store, they sell a small plastic gauge that u can use to measure angle or you just estimate, and turn the wrench a quater turn for 90 degrees
