go to fbodymotorsports to look at parts they have pretty much everything. the exhasut do bolt on. teh engine depends on wat u already have. if it is an ls1 u dont need to change the engine. and if it is a manual it is probly a t56 and thta will b fine.

nice title, good change. dont change the engine if you have the LS1. details in sig.

LS1 is the V8 engine and it kicks the V6s ass all over the place.

Your civic can beat whatever we have? I have a 14 year old dog with arthritis in his front left leg...that would be a close race with a 88 civic with 3 working pistons. Can't say it wouldn't be fair either since both of em are only running on "3 legs." Oh man im not just smart, im funny smart. :grinyes: lol.

But cmon for real its a camaro forum. You should expect/deserve coments like this for that  All in good fun though haha. :smokin:

hahaha...i know and thats why i had to make the switch over to muscle....so the LS1 is what i want in my car? and would my car run a little better if i pull of my exhaust that has a clogged cat?

LS1 isn't a direct swap. Need to swap the complete engine and wiring harness, trans, and most suspension. Maybe driveshaft too.
Clogged cat - get yourself a pair of pacesetter headers (best for the v6 camaro, and better wuality than the v8 ones in terms of fit), a high-flow cat, and a magnaflow or rumbler catback.

yeah, with all that is involved in swapping an LS1 into a 3800 equipped car, you would be better off selling the one you have now, and buying a camaro that already had the V8 to begine with.

my guess is he drove the civic, the same reason i drove a 77 oldsmobile, it was the first car we had, and he stepped up to a camaro. Lets give him props for making progress, instead of being dicks about what he drove before.

but i will say, that if you are more into looks, than performance,

A. youre in the wrong subforum
B. check out www.RKsport.com they have lots of aftermarket dress up items for the fourth gen camaros.

You know... It's not too bad having somone's taillights sail past you if you're getting a hummer.... If you shift too soon you might just break the seal... It might even be better if you just pull over, a proper hummer is more important than winning a race. Especially when you get less than 8 mpg... You might have to walk the hell home if you' re getting a real good one.

yunno, u came into this forum and one of the first things u said is "i bet my civic can beat whatever you have". i have 4 possible races for you, not 5 cuz my car isn't running
1. my dad's '70 SS 396 el camino w/ EFI
2. my dad's '87 buick GNX (if you don't know what that is, then you probably won't win)
3. my bro's '67 malibu SS w/ a blower
4. my bro's dad's '67 buick GS w/ a chevy 454 that has all the goodies

i'll tell you that the slowest of the 4 runs a 12.7, i'll let you imagine what the fastest runs

if you ever want to race your civic while it has a blown piston, i'll get my camaro and we'll push the cars a 1/4 mi. lol. i bet ur civic isn't as pretty as my camaro :-P (i feel kinda like a fag, claiming cosmetic superiority instead of power superiority...)
