I joined this board to see if someone could maybe help me. I have a '95 Toyota Corolla, and I think Im having some transmission problems. My car will drive, but it will not go in reverse at all. I was wondering maybe if it needed some transmission fluid, or if I needed to take it to a mechanic or something. Also if all it would need is transmission fluid, does anyone know exactly where I would put it under the hood? Thanks so much people.

that's definitely a tranny problem, but it's gonna more than likely need a new tranny if it doesn't have reverse. definitely take it to a mechanic and see what they say.

A cheaper way to get a new transmission is to get a manual. More control and gas mileage.

check out www.car-part.com for used tranny's. I got a used engine and tranny from my local japanese importer. These guys import stuff from japan and seem to be all over the place, might be one near you. do a search for used japanese parts or similar.
