S-10 4x4 front end vibration

I'm working on a friends '95 S-10 4x4P/U trying to find whats causing the vibration on the drivers side front. I've had the wheels rebalanced and rotated,crawled under it and pushed,pulled,wiggled,pried and shook everything and all I even come close to is a little play,up and down,were the axle meets the 3rd member. Any help with this would be a godsend.

wheel bearing?

well , here goes the hard way.

Mine has some vibration when the wheel bearing went.

Yup, wheel bearing and lower ball joint. Thanx for the heads up. It took longer to pick the parts up than to do the job , now my bud can drive down the road without driving me nuts!!!!!
