Hello, I love some of you guys's drawings. After seeing them I figured I should try to draw a 5.0 with a cervini stormin normin ram air hood, and cervini stalker front bumper. I know some of the lines are sloppy, the car could look to sit lower, and shading could be better...but what do you guys think for my first drawing? I drew it with one of those cheap pump pencils on some spiral bound notebook paper. Thanks guys. :grinyes:

lol, jeep, its his first drawing, let him get used to draw front/side views, before doing some 3/4s. 3/4s are darn hard! hehe

What i would suggest, is take the height measures of the car, and do the side view. so its on scale with the front view.

Thanks guys, it was really fun drawing again. When I was a little kid I loved to draw cartoon characters, but I never continued the hobby. I hope to start it back up. I'm a single dad, and theres not much I can do anymore to have fun. This hobby could be good for me. Ya, I made it kinda wide, I thought it would make it look sleek. and what is 3/4? scale size or something lol? Thanks again guys.

3/4 is like an oblique view. Where you see top, side, front or Top,side, back, all in one drawing. The pic in my sig is 3/4. You see the top, front, and side of the chassis.
Now get your kids into drawing.

Here's my first rough attempt of a 3/4...It looks better than that. The scanner didn't do it much justice, but oh well. I cant do tires and wheels yet. I need lots of practice and need to see more pictures to get the concepts in my head. but here it is, the driver side headlight and the tires screw the picture up IMO.

another thing that was a challenge was I didn't use a reference picture. I just used a picture in my head

Thats great for a first attempt at a 3/4 without a reference pic. I think you should try one with a reference pic.

thanks, I think if I have a reference picture at a good angle, I can get the tires and all straightened up to match the rest of the picture. I'll try to find a good picture when I get a chance. Also I will try to stop using lined paper, I see people on here don't like that

You need a reference pic, or its like trying to draw a detailed concept car from your head. For the circumstances, your drawing is very good. Now try one with a ref pic.
