What Brings You Back In Time..??

This can be anything, a movie/song/scent/object, anything. Something that brings you back to a time that has great memory-good or bad.

For me, it's always songs and movies. I watch the movie Solaris, with george clooney, and it brings me back to a really cluttered time. A time that had bad and good. A couple days before that movie (which was like late Dec 2002) my mother was hospitalized for about a month, i just got into a car accident that was all my fault (felt real bad, no one hurt thank god) and i had such a crush on this girl (it was a connection for me, but not her etc..).

Everytime i see that movie, it just brings me back bigtime. Along with other songs that where really popular from around that date, like linkin parks "my december" and cold plays "clocks". I was so depressed back then, yet happy because of this girl i liked, weird.

My time machine does. Built entirely out of wrecked Preludes, used pudding cups and old porno mags. Its not pretty, but it gets the job done.

Seeing a girl I knew way back. Lord I wish I were kidding...

Nothing. The net result of the pursui of hedonism is living purely in the moment.

Seeing an old Mustang, Corvette, Chevelle or GTX. When cars were really cars.

Watching Back to the Future always reminds me of when I had a Delorean, and all those stupid Back to the Future quotes everyone would tell me and think they're funny.

I can only think of one thing that brings me back. My freinds. Old and new, even those that I hardly talk to. Whenever we go out and chill and cruise, it just takes me back to my younger days when I was a teen and did what I wanted. It's just relaxing to know you have freinds that are there for you, and that brings me back...

Back In '91 Me and my dad drove from Killeen (Central) Texas to NYC, when I was 7. It was a 2.5 day trip.
PS. we were not broke. To this day I don't know why we didn't fly :)

80s songs bring back a ton of memories for me. Most of my childhood was in the 80s. Some songs bring back memories of tagging along with my sister on shopping trips (she's 11 years older than me) and others take me back to the time when me and my childhood best friend used to spend summers in her swimming pool or walking down to the mall to see how far we could stretch our $5 allowances.

90s songs take me back to high school and college days.

Early 2000-2001 songs (mostly electronica/club type music) bring back memories of doing the car club thing. After 2001 we decided car clubs just weren't our thing anymore, but we still stayed good friends with people in the club :)

damn I had totally forgotten about Kris Kross. I remember in 6th grade when it was cool to wear clothes backwards. That was so retarded thinking about it now.


Things that take me back is 80's music and 90's music.

When I smell banana bread I think of when I was little, mom used to bake it all the time in the winter. Something I do now.

Dirty Dancing always takes me back.

Bologna, dunno why but it was my parents favorite lunch meat and so I reemmber eating lots of it as a kid and it takes me back.

And the smell of gas from like a gas stove when you first turn on a burner. When I was 10yrs old we lived in Texas (dad was in the army) and thats where my parents were from. And Of course they use a lot of natural gas down there and everytime I turn on my stove and smell the gas it reminds me of when I was younger and lived in texas.


I guess smells is mainly what takes me back.

Fall/Winter always remind me my old house were we had no heater, and snow reminds me of the freakin Snow Bowl (Oakland VS New England) IT WAS A FUMBLE!!!!!!!!!!!
