Anyone have any tips on how to replace my headlight bulbs on my '01 Eclipse? I can remove them from the reflector housing but I cannot disconnect the bulbs from the hub/connector.

to disconnect the bulb from the wiring, pull straight out (fairly hard pull) and it will come loose. I thought i was gonna break mine when i did it, but thats what you have to do...pull harder than you think you should.

just be sure not to hold on to the new bulb when you put the new ones on, otherwise you'll ruin the new bulb. hold it by the metal!

mine actually snapped the metal clip going into the socket because it was stuck so much. i had to get pliars to pull out the pieces. just remember it don't matter how much you damage the bulbs and pins of your old one cause they're getting replaced anyway. just make sure you don't damage any part of the wiring or the sockets.

Thanks guys. I figured that's what needed to be done. I'll do that.

I had to change my lights out today. When I got the car it had some blue lights in it, I liked them but one of them went out on Wednesday and since I didn't go anywhere yesterday (thanksgiving) I changed them today. And OMG what a bitch! The drivers side one came out no problem, the passanger side one did not want to come out. I about ready to beat the damn car lol.

So finally in my frustration I took a flat head screw driver and on the top part where its flat I stuck it in there and was able to pry it out without damaging any wires or anything. But damn that was frustrating.
