The other night I was driving home in Cruise Control and as I was exiting the freeway I tried to downshift but couldnt get into gear and noticed there was very little pressure when I stepped on the clutch. I managed to somehow get the car in 3rd ( i guess cus the car was still rolling i was able to get into gear) and drive home. Now theres little to no presssure when pressing on clutch so I cant even get into gear at all. This just happened so I havent had a chance to check anything really yet but Im trying to get a head start on the repair process. Basically theres no pressure when clutch is applied. and i didnt see any fluids dripping. and the car has a new clutch. what fluids should i check ? could it be a broken cable?

when teh clutch was replaced was the throwout bearing and pressure plate replaced? and if so it may or may not be the conection from the clutch lever (pedal) to the pressure plate. it may have failed and isnt allowing the presureplate to release.

okay folks if you want help in this forum GIVE US THE CAR MAKE, MODEL AND YEAR!!!!!!!!!1
Some cars have cables, most newer ones use hydraulic clutches.
Chances are, if you just had the clutch replaced a linkage part was not installed properly and has fallen off.
If hydraulic, find the clutch master cylinder and look if there is any fluid in it. If not you have a leak in the master cyl, slave cyl or line.
If you have a cable clutch and it breaks, your pedal sits on the floor and does not come up at all.
