I just purchase a 2000 4WD Blazer. Only one key came w/vehicle and NO fobs. It has keyless entry...no fob was included with the car. Dealer said previous owner didn't turn one in with vehicle. I have seen them for sale on ebay, however I don't know which ones to buy. What I need are the part numbers for a 2000 Chevy 4WD Blazer fob to purchase the correct ones.

With winter on the way and more than one driver for the vehicle the fobs would be a wonderful convience. Thanks in advance for help!

I also had the same problem,Chevy wanted 60.00 for the fob and 30.00 to program it. I bought one from Ebay with program instructions for less than 25.00 and it works perfect.Email me and I will link you to the company I dealt with.. Dave

I would have negotiated this into the truck purchase.

to program.....and you can have up to 4 remotes.

Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
Release the power unlock button on the door panel. The remote control door lock receiver will respond in the following manner in order to indicate that the receiver is in the programming mode:

Unlocking the doors

Important
All extra transmitters must be programmed at this time. When a new transmitter is programmed, the old transmitters will be deactivated.

Repeat step 7 for each additional transmitter.

No unfortunately no programming instructions came w/it... I don't know what to do. Under the dash it has a kill switch that I tried activating the alarm w/ and that wouldn't work. It wouldn't come on.

Where would the receiver be?? I know that there's a kill switch that I found and deactivated the alarm w/.

the factory keyless receiver is mounted on the drivers side hush panel under the dash. its gonna be in the left corner close to the parking brake release. its a small black box.

the programming instructions for the factory remote are posted in this thread on the first page.

if you have an alarm and a kill switch, thats most likely aftermarket.

when I bought my 2000 it had a remote entry, but if you push down unlock and lock together it starts. Guess the dealer didn't know that one.
