Ok i have a 91' na, i am buying a hole/ half (wrecked to the extreme) 91'mr2 turbo with a perfect engine so i am taking the engine tranny and ecu, but the guy said to complete the swap i will need the turbo's cross brace and axles, is this true? or could i just use mine? or could u use a 5sgte tranny ( stock n/a's)tranny on a usdm 3sgte ? but i didnt know i would need thos parts to complete the car. I have not heard this before so i was not sure about that and are the turbo's brakes bigger compared to the n/a's?

I would highly recommend using the turbo (3sgte) tranny and axles. They are beefier and the tranyn is geared for the turbo power band. The NA (5sfe) tranny will bolt up to the 3SGTE engine ... and you could drive that way, but it is far from ideal.
If I recall correctly, the rear brakes are identical.
The front brakes onthe turbo are dual piston and the NAs are single, but they are the same size.
