1987 Supra For Sale: 97 Internals!

Got a black 87 Supra for sale here, engine's got around 50k since the rebuild. 97 Supra internals (pistons, rods) were put in because of a twin-turbo swap. Turbo's no longer with car. Car doesn't start at the moment, narrowed it down to ignition coil, will be replacing, but if anyone wants it now, it'll go for $700. After it's running probably $1500. Let me know.

How the hell did you put in the 97 2jzgte internals into a 87 7mgte motor???

easy, ya get it bored out....but I just got the list of everything that's in it from my friend so here it is.

- B & M shift connection w/ auto shift
- LSD
- Stock headers from another car, b/c no more turbo's :(, 3" straight pipe w/ super turbo muffler and 3" tip.
- 97 Turbo lower end w/ forged crank
- Rebuilt top end w/ larger intake/exhaust valve for better induction
- 550cc injectors
- K & N filter
- new plugs/wires
- large diameter front/rear brakes

he's asking $2000, and thats if I can get it started (sat for a year and wont start now) but i'll get it started before I sell it...but if anyone wants it as is right now he'd probably give it up for $1000 or b/o.

Uh... yah....you're never going to get that thing running right if at all with those internals in it. Trust me I know about boring out motors...I have a 3.2 I6 motor for the same car. I just confirmed via another very reliable source about those internals...

Where are you located and what color is the car interior and exterior.

What are you talking about, the car was running for 2 years AFTER the conversion, and another year after the turbo's blew and was switched back to n/a (my friend drove it for a year w/ the turbo's and then blew them b/c of a pinched oil line). It sat for almost a year b/c he couldn't get it registered w/ all the tickets he had, and now won't start up, it turns over, but no spark so ignition coil...but if you're only interested in doubting the validity of it, and not buying it then please don't waste my time.

The head gasket along with all other gaskets were replaced when the engine was rebuilt, which was about 30 - 40k miles ago. It's an automatic with a shift kit (see the earlier post for everything that's in it). I still have to get it started though, I just finished up my Firebird today and before that I was changing my 3000GT from automatic to manual. So the Supra is next in line. But as far as I know it runs great, shifts fine, and has a lot of power (just as fast as my 350 Firebird without the turbos). I am selling it for a friend, he wants $1000 b/o if I don't get it started and $2000 b/o if I do. If you have anymore questions let me know.
