That happened (similar problem) for my old Mustang. It's worth fixing if you love it.

I'd stop typing in caps, for one.

Depends on the car. I had a $500 that I put $2500 worth of repairs into. But it was worth it.

i would put a gassy rag in the gas tank, and see if it really works like it did for sphinx in gone in 60 seconds.

If you like the car, fix it yourself you cheap bastard! if not, push it off the cliff and try your damndest for insurance.

I'm assuming this $500 car is a heap of stinking shit. Once you fix the clutch, something else will go wrong. Once you fix that, something else will go wrong. Once you fix that, something else will go wrong. Once you fix that, something else will go wrong. Once you fix that, something else will go wrong. Once you fix that, something else will go wrong. Once you fix that, something else will go wrong. Once you fix that, something else will go wrong. Once you fix that, something else will go wrong. Once you fix that, something else will go wrong. Once you fix that, something else will go wrong. Once you fix that, something else will go wrong. Once you fix that, something else will go wrong. Once you fix that, something else will go wrong. Once you fix that, something else will go wrong. Catch my drift? Either buy a newer car or keep biting the bullet where repair costs could have got you a newer car anyways.

Ricochet, sounds like alot going wrong. i have a 79 chev truck, and it has never left me stranded. i paid $300 for it. i dont drive it really at all right now, but come winter i will be. and i have never had a problem with it. it all depends on the car, if its in good shape, just a shitty clutch then go ahead.

We can, remember?

And Id say fix it. Your not gonna get a much better car for 500.

I just bought a '95 GA GT 3.1L and had to rebuild the motor. Then the tranny went and I figured if I was already in that far keep going. Now I have a car with a new engine and tranny and should be good to go for a few hundred thousand miles. Plus now I get 36mpg.

Edit: I forgot to add the reason. If you think it's good other wise fix it. If you toss it you're out $500 already right?

indyrams gotta point...either way, your paying 1300 bucks for a drivable car. might as well fix the one in your driveway...
