Halo 2 question

Can you play 2 player coop in link mode?
If so, do you need that little network box just to link two xboxes together?

Nope, we tried it last night with Halo 2. You have to be on the same xbox to do it. And the first one you can't do either. And xbox live is too out of the question for co-up. Maybe Halo 3 will have it, but we'll have to wait and see.
