KYB vs Koni

Researching new struts. Guys here recommended KYB. Obviously KYB is less expensive than Koni. But what is this concern about the pogo effect all about? KYB tells you right up front it won't help pogo effect.
About KYB "If you're looking for something that's going to help with the pogo effect caused by aftermarket performance springs, these do not have the dampening characteristics to resolve that issue. They are great factory replacements to worn struts but the only thing that's going to help with the pogo effect caused by aftermarket performance springs is a performance strut with dampening characteristics matched to the performance springs. About Koni...they are adjustable, but how? Knobs under the car? Isn't this inconvenient? Especially in winter?

Have you installed new springs? If not, go with the KYB's. KYB's are pretty much the best for stock setup. You won't get pogo effect by simply installing new KYB's with the stock springs.

No pogo with the KYBs and stock springs and it only happens with aftermarket lowering springs & KYBs.

Those must be the ones from PFYC and they are very spendy and not really worth it since GM also came out with a complete strut kit...What PFYC did was take a Ford Taurus strut housing and modified it so that it would fit our GPs with Koni .
