Hi people,

I have a factory fitted cassette player in my Audi A4 1.9Tdi. Apart from a facia for aftermarket installation, will I need any other accessories to go with a CD player that will be installed? I can't work out if the stereo system is BOSE as there are no markings anywhere stating this, how can I find out? I would appreciate if anyone had instructions on how to wire a stereo aswell, in particular for this model car.

Thanks!

Yo,

Thanks for that, I've taken the original one out with a couple of screw drivers and a bit of aggression! Wiring was no probs, stereo connected in 30 mins.

Which headunit did you put in there?

Alpine 9830r 2004 model, bought it for £227 from www.cel-direct.com, guarantee you won't find it cheaper anywhere else (legit), they usually go for £250+. Let me know if u do!

Cool, i live in the USA. I don't know if they sell them in the U.K. or not but i bought an Eclipse CD8454 for my Jaguar. Going from a Pioneer 7600MP it was no comparison. Sound quality is very nice. Almost as good as those $1,000+ cd players like McIntosh, Nakamichi, & Clarion ProAudio DRZ9255.
