1:12 scale Excalibur SS

Been seeing these around for really cheap so I figured I'd check one out. It's a fairly decent kit although a bit primitive in some spots. The engine is supposed to be a Chevy but it looks like a generic V8. The framerails are hollow from the bottom and only looks good from the top. The suspension is interesting; the rear leaf springs are assembled leaf-by-leaf and the front is suspended by coil springs. The shocks/dampers actually telescope in and out as you move the suspension. Steerable suspension connects to a center headlamp that steers in unison with the front wheels. The calipers are molded onto brackets so that the rotor spins separately, but for some reason they only molded the inside half of the caliper.

Instructions are in Chinese but the pictures are mostly self-explanatory.

Anyway I didn't mean this to be some full-on review but let me know if you have any questions about it. Do a 'net search on Excalibur SS if you need the history of this car.

My plans for it? Hmm... :naughty:

I want to see a video of that.

Just remember, my 1/6 can run over your 1/12 :evillol:. Just kidding. Cool Kit, I almost got that.

Yeah I got it from ebay. I might pick up another or so. There's an SSK version but from what I can tell it's the same kit except for the fenders and maybe decals. All I need are some 24s to go with it, hahah. I also have an extra 1/12 Corvette glue bomb with all the extra parts.

White97ex, it is/was a Concorde slammer. I'll make a thread on it soon if I work on it again.
