No head room for Headers

Hey people...
Got me a 65 buick skylark, 2dr, hardtop coupe. Seems to be a fairly rare car. Originally had a 300ci buick v8, but is now powered by a 70's model rebuilt Chevy 350 small block. Mounted to the stock motor mounts. I'm looking for a set of full tube, shorty, or even block huger headers that will fit in that cramped little space. I need a set that will clear the screw in bushings on the upper A-arm and also clear the front cross member. No one has been able to help me out so far...Please HELP....

Have you tried explaining your situation to one of the header manufacturers?

Hi.
I also have a 65 Buick Skylark 2dr HT. I also swapped out the tired 300ci V8, and replaced it with 383ci stroked 350. When I did my swap, I had to change the engine frame mounts to those from a 65 Chevelle. The hedders that I used were hedman husler #65101. They might be a bit large for your motor, but any chevelle hedder should fit from 64-77 if you change the frame mounts. As for any clearance problem I didn't seem to have any, and mine are 13/4 primary. I also have a complete Global West front suspension pkg, with 12" disc brakes and tubular control arms..
I hope this helps.
Tim
