Hey, ok, i know a friend that works somewhere and i can get the Sony CDX-M9900 for $296.00, normally $650. Crazy screen and options! I have the pioneer 7500mp, which i love alot, but i want a new one, especially because of the amazing deal. I was wondering: I know alot of sony decks tend to break or have some kind of issue, but i heard that the top-of-the-line sony decks, like this model, work great and dont have problems. I know that pioneer are great decks, and mine has great sound quality, i was wondering what kind of sound quality i would get from the Sony CDX-M9900? It's an amazing deck, and has all of the sound features i need, such as the filters, and triple pre-outs (4v). Alot of people have said that deck is fantastic for sound quality and everything. Any ideas guys? help me asap! -thanks

I bought a sony deck that was just middle of the line (cdxf5705x) and despite many people not liking sony stuff too much.. ive been pretty happy with it. only problem i have experienced is that it skips if i go over some rough railraod tracks or somethin.. but that kinda makes me wonder when i get a nice sub in the back... oh well.. otherwise.. ive heard the same.. that higher end models are nicer. Ive had no problems and that sounds like a good deal so i would say go for it

i know theres much better stuff out there.. but if its doin what it says it will and its not breaking.. like mine.. theres no reason to say theres no such thing as a good sony hu.. i knwo it may not be built the best.. but like i said i have no problems with mine.. i think that peoples prejudices against sony stuff take over their hads so they bash soemthing if it comes up in a thread just because its a sony.. (yes i know their products arent great but thats not what im trying to say)

I'm just saying that every single person I've ever known personally with a Sony headunit has had it die on them within a year, some with the bottom of the line, some with the top of the line.

I have a lower end Sony cd head unit and have had no problems whatsoever. Does'nt skip and hasent caused any problems. I think it has to do with personal preference more than anything.
