I'm getting an amp installed in my '96 gp and I was wondering if anyone knows where the best place to run my cables through the firewall?

thanks for the help, but it says at the top of that page that it's for '97-2003...is that grommet thing there for a '96 also? (i am on vacation right now, so I can't look at my car.) Also, I have stock everything and I am gonna be running a 1200 watt 4-channel amp to my speakers..can my electrical system take that? The alt. is about a month old and I just got a brand new battery.

sorry about that didnt look. the best way to do it is open the hood and look for wires coming throught the firewall already run it there there has to be a place about the electrical system install it and see how it goes you can put a capacitor in if the lights are dimming or a high output alternator if the lights are dimming than the amp isnt geting all the power it needs and it can overheat the amp...

OK...since I didn't receive any input, I decided to toy around a little this afternoon w/ my amp for my '96 GP. First, I found a gromet that passed through the firewall in the upper left hand corner of the passenger side floor board. U cannot see it from the inside of the car, but if u pop the hood and trace the automatic shifter cable to the firewall, u'll find it. I had to pull the gromet out and stretch it quite a bit to get the 4-gauge wire to fit thru w/ the shifter cable. As for the back seat, if u reach along either side of the seat, down low there is a small hole that passes thru to the trunk. Wiring can easily be passed thru this hole. Hope this saves someone else a little time.
