i hear the EVO VII GSR is a kick ass evo but whats the best one you guys think. im lookin into buyin an evo but i wanna know what the best one is. if you guys have any comments i wanna know what evo it is and what year it is. thanx

The Evo VII RS is better than the GSR. Or, you can get an Evo VIII RS or MR and those are also better.

Depends what you want to use it for. The Vii GSR has a few performance features that the RS doesn't get like an active centre diff and active yaw control. It also weighs more due to having a full interior, stereo, electric windows, mirrors, climate control, etc.
the RS is a stripper model and comes with mechanical diffs, a throwaway interior and steel rims. It's designed as a basis for a fully stripped out Group N rally car.
If you're after a hardcore rally car go for the RS but for a street car, the GSR is the better proposition.
The VIII GSR and RS are along the same lines, although I believe US spec cars don't get the Active Yaw Control or the Active Centre diff.
VII and VIII both weight more than a VI though.
