oil change

ok this isn't about my car I KNOW BETTER

you change your oil every 3000 miles or every 3 months depending on which comes first correct.

ok my friend got a TSX last december 2004 model, ok well since he got it he has been unable to drive it due to seizures, so its been sitting in his driveway without changing the oil in it until september when he started driving it [thats roughly 9 months or soo give or take]

thats already bad for the motor right?? considering that the oil is evaporating little by little we live in florida soo it's hot

well currently he is passing the 6000 mile mark as he is across town [from his house] as i'm typing this, thats about what 4 or 5 oil changes he should have done by now, and around 2000 miles i check his dipstick it said he was too low on oil

What is happening to the motor now, the bearing are getting eaten??, the gasket dryrot??, blow a rod or something??

he's 17 and his reason for not doing the oil as me and some friends have offered to do it for him if he buys the supplies was that he didnt want to spend his money. he wants his parents to pay for it

who here feels he should be on a bike or the bus??

sorry i know this isnt about 240's but i just want to ask, i've posted this at some honda forums as well

Thats really beyond my comprehension.

1.) He wouldnt be my friend if he was that big of a douche bag to not want to pay 30 bucks for an oil change on a car that his parents bought him for 30,000

2.) If he was my friend and didnt worry to much about car maintnance (I have one that comes close) Id tell him exactly whats gonna happen and when It did Id laugh at him every day while yelling your a fuckup. then Id go to the dealership and tell them exactly what happened just to make sure he has to pay full charge. then Id tell his parents so they would take the car away. (may not work in your case since for the kid to be that fucked in the head the parents have to be pretty fucked too.

ya i do tell him everyday

he has started getting all mad now, that i keep telling him about it

well his warrenty is gone because he has missed so many oil changes, its a huge waste of money

and technically i bet its closer to 15 bucks, 10 or so for the oil 5qt jug, 5 for the filter, his car doesnt need synthetic oil

he claims he told his rents don't believe him and i don't feel like going there to tell them,

do you think he is going to need an overhaul??
an autoshop teacher said that the bearing are probly being eaten away..

lets put it this way...

Scrached Bores, Fubar Rings, Spun/Crushed bearings, the works.

I hope hes not epileptic because the flames coming from the engine might give him another seizure.

overhaul? no way... it's a 2004... the durability of that car can't be that weak.

even so, not changing oil or keeping up with maintenance will heavily damage the car. Do you hear cars that screech when they turn the ignition on? yup no engine oil... it's running dry. That'll destroy internals as well as overheat the car due to excessive friction and lack of lubrication. Plus, it's extremely loud. It's common that a majority of people will go through the trouble of maintenance especially when they purchase a brand new car. As for your friend... well he'll learn it the hard way. People who have no respect for cars should just stick to bus, train, or better yet... walk their asses..

Ok, here's what you do. First kick him in the nuts. I am fucking serious. Do it. Then tell his parents that he is purposely destroying the $30,000 car they gave his stupid ass. Tell his parents that you have offered to do the oil change, but he still won't do it. Ask if you can take the car off his hands and have it for your own, so it will be properly cared for. Now you got a pimp ass ride. Put a Prodrive bodykit on it with some nice wheels, and the bitches will be all over your nuts.

ok i saw him today at school and it seems that his brakes are gone,

well they screech extremely loudly whenever his tries to slow down or stop, even if its only like 15mph, its louder than some semi trucks

i can hear them over my exhaust and i have a 3 inch straight pipe

also according to my friend anna that road with him whne he uses his triptronic [auto shifter thing], he grinds his first gear when driving [cant downshift]

he's worse than a ricer he thinks he's a racer but doesn't even know basic maintenance, at least ricers do oil changes and tune ups

for those who have replied thnx some funny stuff
