Improperly lowered?

sup everyone, i have a question regarding the lowering of my 95 civic. I got it lowered at a shop in Westminster, CA, paid about $200 for it. At first i didn't notice anything but when i got home and began to pay close attention to how it looked, i noticed (looking at the front of the car) that the right side is much lower than the left side, particularly the left rear of the car. i think it was "improperly lowered", as i have heard such stories from people. what do you think i can do? will i have to "relower" the entire car again? or can i get that just one side fixed? I got Eichback (unsure about spelling) lowering Springs. Was it something done wrong at the shop? or is the problem with my car? is there something i can do myself without taking the car to another shop? sorry for all these questions, but i want to fix this problem ASAP with as little money involved as possible. have you actually measured your ride height? which eibach springs did you get?

How much is it off? Measure like Miataracer said.
How long ago was it lowered(miles?)

If it was just done & only off by 0.50" or so drive for 500 miles until the springs fully settle.

One more thing, Do not measure it with the e-brake on.
Stock struts I'm guessing, you'll be replacing those soon.

i have to get the measurements, but it's pretty noticeable and it's been much more than 500 miles. thanks for your help.oh and yea, miataracer i voted for you so better do a good job if you win.

lol thanks, i will try. get those measurements. i have heard a few people say that they have slightly off ride height with eibachs but mine seem to be about perfect. did you get the sportlines or the prokit?

a buddy of mine got the eibach springs and his front has sagged an additional inch since he first put them on. and he's rolling on tokico blues too, so it definitely wasn't due to stock shocks. u could check to make sure they were installed correctly, like all the way down in their seats, and not upside down. also, that they didn't screw down the retaining nut on the top of the shocks different amounts, cuz that'll cause uneven compression of the springs between struts. payin 200 i would think they'd do a good job, but hey u never know. everyone can have an off day. :lol2:

Even with blues, if you has blues, it could be the shocks. Tokico claims you should not lower the car more than 1.75" on Tokcio blues. ANything more is deamed ecessive lowering and will void the lifetime warrenty. Typical wisdom though says blues arn't good for anything more than a 1.5" drop.

I had H & R sports on Tokcio HP's (blues) for awhile, and the car started to sag well over an inch to the front right side since the shock was blown. I replaced all the shocks with konis (becuase I wasn't happy with the blues anyway) and it leaved out (I soon after ditched the H & R's since they weren't stiff enough for my needs for much stiffer custom spring rate and length ground-control coilovers). It was the exact same problem as oasisdaniel has, sagging in the front. Shocks were the culperate.

If the front right shock is blown like mine was, it will cause the front right corner to droop and sag more, . This causes the oppiste corner, the left rear, to raise up higher, which is just what you explained. As I said, once I replaced the shocks it was fine. If you are running stock shocks, with the pro-kit (especially with the sportlines, or you have more than 1.5-1.75" drop on blues) then you very likly have a blown shocks at the least, likly more. Stock shocks can not handle a drop.

Blown shocks CAN cause a car to exssesivly sag, I know this first hand. As was said, if you have stock shocks, you'll need to replace those are they are likely blown. Replacing blown shocks should level it out. If you have the $$, Koni yellows are very good shocks.

hey you guys i know it's been a long time since i posted on my own threads....but i'm wondering if i can take my car to any general mechanic....or does it have to be to some who specializes in suspension and all those things? i know it's been such a long time and will appreciate any answers. thanx.
