hello ladies and gents,

I'm a new member, I just recently bought a 2004 GTP. i'm thinking of replacing the exhaust tips or maybe the entire exhaust system. I'm looking for a few more HP and a throat-ier sound.

Do any of you guys have suggestions or related experiences?

any help would be appreciated.

If it were me,id just get some new mufflers like Dynomax supper turbos or Manaflows and find some tips you like...your not really going to pick up much HP on our cars with a $500.00/$800.00 catback.Save your money for other mods like smaller pulley or PCM and CAI

thanks for the advice. I had my mind made up on Borla, but I may take your advice on this.

If your looking for HP, follow Big-L advise. The only time he was wrong, is when he won't give me his car. But, we are trying to forgive him.

Actually, I'm not looking for HP, just a throatier, meaner, deeper sound.

I dont want somthing as loud as a LoudMouth or those coffee can exhausts that you see on Rice Rockets, something a little more subtle.

Just look into some different mufflers and tips and you will be happy.Ive got Dynomax Supper Turbos and ive have been very happy with them. Not into the ricer sound or fart cans

I went with Thrush Turbo 2.5 inch inlet and outlet and a set of 8 inch long by 4 inch round tip stainless exhaust tips and put in a K&N airfilter and a highflow Catalytic converter and it sounds really nice. Whole cost for conversion was around $200
