Can A Convert Handle Hp?

Okay i was planning on buying a 1990 iroc convert and do a ls1/t56 swap, my question is if i put a 8point roll cage and sub frame connectors would it stiffen up the convertible enough for performance? i just like how the third gen converts look

i have no idea...but youve done a 6 speed swap to a 3rd gen camaro right??how much does it cost??

well with the lt1/t56 swap and everything i needed and labor it came to little over 5k

i was looking at fbodymotorsports and they charge about 750 bucks for the swap minus parts, you just need to supply them with all the parts.

sfc's and the cage will be plenty

wouldn't a roll cage in a convertable look a little goofy?
with the top down i mean

they make a roll bar for the convertables
