Well BPU...basic performance upgrades...is probably intake, headers, exhaust, and some ECU/Chip work. That should be good to bump up the HP on the GSR from the stock 170HP to 195HP or so...

I would hit up the intake , header and exhaust. After that invest in some JUN VTEC cams, if you choose the right set, you could get upwards of 20whp from them. Dont neglect the rest of the car though, get the thing to handle too. I have heard that the Skunk2 coilovers are awsome. I also belive that eibach makes a whole line of anti-roll bars and sway bars that work well. Good luck with it!
