850r

I have a 96 850R w/ 228k miles. My timing belt tension pulley broke, causing damage to some values. The dealer replaced the heads and such. Now I'm getting flumes (exhaust) thru my vents. I see a small amount of smoke, coming from the oil dip stick, if I remove it. What gives? What can I do? Did the dealer do something wrong? Did I make a mistake, changing out the heads?
