Wireless Printing

Has anyone ever bought or used a wireless printer kit. I'd like to space my room out a little more and move my printer and its resting place to the otherside of the room. Hope someone can shed some light on this and let me know if its good or bad.

It's not that difficult. Just get a wireless print server, one or two ports. Just make sure it has whatever your printer uses - Centronics/DB25 for serial or USB connector if your printer is USB.
Also you'll need a wireless access point of some sort. If you have a network already and a router, just get an access point if it's not a wireless router. If you have neither, get the wireless router. You can still have your PC wired to the router, but the wireless print server can sit next to the printer.
The newer 802.11g wireless protocol is newer and will offer decent throughput although you can just get the 802.11b hardware since it may cost less and 802.11g isn't really necessary for a print server. The printer doesn't require all that much speed to query and process print jobs over wireless.
HP also makes their own print servers, but they're pretty expensive. Linksys makes great products for the cost and now that Cisco owns them, they're even better than before.

Well first thing you need is a print server, the HP one is a jetdirect and they are necessary if you want technical help from the 1-800 number. A gateway (usually the wireless router).
To tell you the truth I don't recommend the 1350 for a wireless setup, it's problem-galore. And also when you have a PSC or any multifunction on a wireless network, getting it to scan over that network is a 1:500 shot so good luck. I can help furthermore if you already have the printer, or I can recommend you a better one.
