any cool tips or tricks on any european cars people can tell me about?

what kind of tips or tricks are you looking for? Mechanical, driving, etc.

hmmm, we have rear fog lights which are required by law to switch on when visibility drops below a certain level, er.... we don't have all that mumble talking about objects appearing closer or whatever on our wing mirrors, er... our standard fuel octane is 95 oh and here in the UK we don't care as much about 1/4 mile times or whatever, but more on how the car handles CORNERS! dunno if this is what ur looking for! :sorry:

well we here in america are stupid hillbillys and we only understand straight lines and muscle cars. probably shouldnt have said that, now this will turn into another turbo vs sc thread.

Octane in the UK is measured by the "R" method. Here in the states we use (R+M)/2. Their 95 octane is equivalent to about our 89 or 90.

oh rite i didnt know about different methods of measuring octane! well at the petrol stations it usually says 95RON woteva the RON stands for I aint a clue! Turbos arent that common here in the UK, well apart from the turbo diesels but you know what i mean! Petrol over here costs around 84pence a litre so cars with engines as small as 1.0 litre 3 cyl are common over here, anything over a 2.5 litre engine isn't too common in general apart from the odd 4x4 or luxury cars like a mercedes or something! 90% of us hate auto's and drive manuals too :grinyes:

Are you sure you live in the UK, Turbo`s arnt common, are you joking or what, shit loads of cars have turbos, I can think of maybe only two cars that have 3 cylinders, but I totally agree on the auto box, Automatics suck big time and are for people who cant drive normal gears or are too lazy to bother shiftin gear themselves, but things are different in the states, driving around cities etc, an autobox was a god send while I was drivin around LA, Traffic jams all the time, not just rush hour, it made life so much easyer. At least you had one and free to carry the pizza while you where driving home. Here in the UK, up until recently, Auto`s where not common, but they are growing in popularity as they become better and better. i just wish that some of the cars that they have in the states we could get over here, Driving a Dodge Charger through Arizona was one of the best things ever.
