brake indicator light

My brake indicator light is not shutting off when i release the break lever.

Anyone knows what might cause this problem?
94 civic DX

start by checking your brake fluid level. if you are low that could cause the light to turn on. if that doesnt work it could be that your parking brake is out of adjustment. there is actually a little switch down under the area that surrounds the handle that might not be getting turned off when you turn off the parking brake
