I have a 96 S-10 blazer 4.3. My air conditioning is only blowing out of the defroster and floor. I know that it is the vacum line is off so the switch isn't working. Does any one with a manual know where the thing hooks up I can't find it. I have been under the hood for an hour and can't find it. I suppose its on the firewall behind the engine because of the way its routed but I can't find where it connects

It connects to the vacuum ball near the driver's side firewall corner.
The switch problem will be in the dash.

Unfortunately, it may not be that easy. I had the same problem and it turned out to be where the vacuum hose came through the firewall under the drivers side dash. It comes through as a rubber hose and attaches to a hard plastic hose. Where it goes before ending up at the control switch I couldn't begin to tell you. If you remove the panel under the drivers side dash and (with the vehicle running), listen for a hissing sound. It should be easy to hear. The hard plastic hose is in a wire bundle, so it's hard to get at. You have to feel for it and put the rubber hose back without being able to see it. One good thing is that after I replaced it, it hasn't come off since.

I have the same problem. The hose is connected to the bal on the hood, but the other end that funs along the firewall is not connected. Were you able to find where to hook it up? Please reply if you have.
Thanks!

It hooks to a slip fitting on the back of the intake.
There will be a nipple you will have to slide the hose onto.
It is to the left of the cap and rotor.
