search didn't give me what i was looking for. i'm just wondering if it's ok to wash the model body after making body modifications with putty? it won't soften up when exposed to the water will it? i figure since you had to mold it with wet fingers, a little water wouldn't hurt. btw i was using tamiya quick type epoxy if that makes a difference.

Well i used Tamiyas regular putty and i washed the car and sanded and it didnt do anything to the putty so just make sure the putty is hard and youll be fine

No..but one part putties used for building, not patching, will soften.

I haven't used the Tamiya putty, but the Italeri Putty I use will absorb some water, when for example wet-sanding. It must dry completley before painting over it, otherwise the paint will come off.
