Airbox modifications

Because the '00 4 cyl airbox is a pain in the ass when concerning the deckplate mod (unless anyone can show me pics of it applied correctly on a 2.4L 4 cyl!!!) I've just heard about doing an elbow mod as described in this link:

Anybody have anything on this?

did this mod on my 95 2.7 s/c. No pictures. Just remove your airbox, drill out clip or rivet, and remove elbow. Can't remember if it was a clip or rivet. I left the rest of the pipe in the fender well just incase I reinstall at later date.
