Hi,
I got a check engine light with the code p0401. My car is a 1996 Toyota Camry 4 cyclinder car. I changed the EGR valve, EGR modulator... I have read post where many have change the VSV(vacuum switching valve) & that seems to solve the problem.
My question is where would the VSV be located at. Do anyone have a picture diagram?
Thanks.

Ok. I went to the junkyard & I believe I got me a VSV off a used engine. I want to upload the picture on the forum so that others who are having problem with the code 0401 would see how the VSV looks like.
I haven't replaced the VSV to see if that will fix it or not but am looking to do it tomorrow or Saturday. Hope this will fix it because I am getting tired of that check engine lights.
P.S. If someone have a way or idea for me to post the pictures on the forum, then please advise.
Thanks.

Hi,
Thanks for the link. The website was very helpful. I believe I got the right part. If only I can post it up so that others who are having problem with it can see what a VSV looks like. Thanks again.
