i was wondering if I needed a 500cfm or a 600cfm carb (edelbrock performer) for a 351ho, completly stock except exhaust. The engine is in a bronco, but it takes forever for a response in the bronco forum, and a lot of ya'll deal with 351's. thx!!!!

This will give you a good approx.
CFM = Engine Size × RPM @ Peak Power × VE ÷ 3456
CFM = Engine Size × RPM @ Peak Power × VE ÷ 3456

engine size in cubic inches, correct? how do i know what the volume effeciency is (or whatever ve stands for). would it be 100%?

yes cu. also for VE you can do one for 80(std) and one for 100(in a perfect world) and take something in that range closer to the 80 side. Like I said the formula is for an approx.
