Hey all--
On a purchase of a used vehicle, what are the signs you're looking for to see if the vehicle has been damaged or submerged in a flood?
I know the obvious things, checking the gauges, underneath the doors, and I'm getting a CARFAX report. But what other indicators should I check for?
Thanks for commentary.

A submerged car smells funky, it oftem will have dirt and debris in odd places, such as behind the dashboard and will often destroy electronic components, rendering some electrical devices non-functional.
However, if it has been submerged and repaired properly, it should be fine.
