those are just overlays for your guages, they won't fix any of the problems you have. You need to get a new cluster all together.

Also, when swapping clusters, it might is a good idea to try and find a cluster with the odometer mileage somewhere near what your's was. You don't want to put in a cluster w/ 10,000 miles if you car was @ 42,000 the last time you went through emissions and they recorded the mileage. Otherwise when they record the mileage next time and it says 15,000, it will show as the mileage as going DOWN...which makes people think Odometer fraud.

Anyways, Auto Adventure is ALL indoors, and is exclusivly a Honda/Acura junkyard. They should have an 2000 EX gauge cluster one one comapable. They do ship nationwide.

If they don't have it, you can try Acura-Honda U-Fix-It Auto Wrecking. They have a 101 day gaurantee on some things and have daily shipping available.

Here's the part number for those gauges. 1996-2000 Civic EX automatic tranny. It's the same gauge face for Sedans and Coupes.

This is the part number for those gauges, directly from AC Autotechnics wesite:

G7-C9697AM 96-00 CIVIC EX -A/M

Here is a list of ALL the vehicles they make these gauges for.
http://66.235.211.201/acautote/main/thumbs/tnS7ELGAUGE_more.htm

As for where you can get these gauges, in my above post I listed the contant information for EVERY AC Autotechnics dealer in the US. You have the part number now for the gauges, as well as the contact information for every AC Autotechnics dealer in the US (which I listed in my above post). You can call any of them up and they should be able to get you te gauges. The bigger companies like Matrix Racing, ARD Performance and Mantaray Motorsports should ship nationally as well.

Hey you go, this is a link to a really nice and clean picture of these gauges. It shows the cluster with the gauges lit, on a white background. It's very defined and easy to see.

those are just overlays for your guages, they won't fix any of the problems you have. You need to get a new cluster all together.

do i need an actual WHOLE gauge cluster replacement tho? via honda dealer i ordered a new gas cluster and on the MPH and RPM's its jus simply the needles are off? can't i jus take them off and put them back on making sure at zero instead of 40mph when car is off?

whats the best way to remove the needles as that is how I broke the gas cluster as the needle snapped off and why i bought the replacement cluster?

thank you all

you can try it and see if moving your needles fixes it, but it might not.

Had the same problem in my friend's GF's MX-3. It was always off by about 30 mph, tried messing with the needle some, but since the needle doesn't move unless you hit the gas it didn't do shit for it.

If it was like the temp guage or gas guage where the needle moves when you turn the ignition to ACCII or what ever you have, you could go about calibrating them, but for RPM and speedo it seemed like it was impossible.

is anyone here familiar wit honda civic gauges particularly the clusters? are the needles not supposed to be removable or what? when I took them out i had not problem and so when i ws replacing them i got careless and jus put them in and the gas one snapped leavin me no needle for the gas... my thinkin and correct me if i'm wrong on all this..

..is I jus need to take evrything apart again, remove the mph and rpm's needles put them back on make shure they are set to ZERO THIS time, replace the entire gas cluster wit a new one....

pi yow! simple as that right? or am i wrong? wht can be so hard about that? besides dange of snappin the other needles?

thanks all

Mind I ask why you removed the gauge needles? The needles are not supposed to be removed. There is really no reason you should have had to remove the needles. Also, removing them, moving them around, this can all mess up the gauges accuracy. If you removed the needles and then broke one, you'll need a new cluster. You have a DX? If so, those clusters arn't a lot from a junk yard (sites have been listed already) as they arn't in great demand due to a lack of a tach.

I removed the needles... to install some custom gauges that were EL reverse guaages...now keep in mind this was when i was a ROOKIE..and about 5 years ago..when NO one was really doing this ie. BEFORE it became popular so there was no one else to go for or info on it..the shops in my area told me i was on my own.... UNfortunately i found out the hard way ONCEi was done an they was ruined that all i had to do was slip the new gauges over the OLD ones...man was i p*ssed...you DO learn the hard way i guess..so thats where i"m at now... have mph and rpm gauges that are at least mph 40 miles off... and a no needle on my gas cluster meanin I NEVER know when to put gas in until the yellow gas light comes on... oh and i have an ex auto sedan...2000

so DO you think i should attempt to repair this? of jus leave it be? i did purchase a new gas cluster can't i jus pop that in? and as for the mph and rpm's should i jus settle wit them being off and compensate it by adding the 40mph for the speed? let me know what you all think..this has to be repairable..

thanks all

There ARE speedometer repair shops, I suggest you call one up and talk to them. I talked a long time ago to a giuy here that owns a speedometer reapir shop. He fault out said many Honda guys in the past have come in twith ruioned gaugers when they installed indiglows wrong (bumping, messing with, or removing the needles). He said once it was screwed up, you needed a new gauge cluster more often than not. It shouldn't run you more htan $135 on a high for a gauge cluster, try searching the sites or calling the places I gave last time. For the most part, that's not usually something that is repairable though, when the gauges are off due to someone messing with the needles. Usually you'll need a new gauge cluster. However, if you are worried sabout all this, I suggest calling a speedometer repair shop if there is one in the area.

As I said, 40mph off on tne speedo, no gas needle, rpm's off. YOur gauge is SHOT, you need a new one. CHeck out auto adventure and Acura-Honda U-Fix-It (phone number on the previous page) and
www.car-parts.com

Once you get a new cluster in, I suggest taking it to a speedo shop anyway to get the accuracy of the new unit checked. It usually doesn't run more than $15.
