Eclipse GS .VS. V6 Mustang

Ok.... so I'm going with my brother and uncle to go get something to eat right.:licker: Well I'm driving down a road when all of a sudden a chick next to me is staying side by side with me, so I think ok, lets see what my 4banger gots against her V6. We stop at the next light and I start reving on her.....:sun: She looks and smiles.... its on... she wants a race..light turns green, we take off... I stay with her off the line then I start to pull, next thing i know she's at my bumper then I got up to 55 (in a 35) and I had her beat by a car lenth... Put the hazards and got me a kill.....:bandit:

what mods do u have on your eclipse gs (dodge neon) to make it pull away from a v6 mustang?

is it the new body style eclipse or the previous one, or maybe even the old one? what year model?

I drive a 97 eclipse gs, my mods are a bomb exaust, cold air intake, headers. You don't believe that I can beat a v6 mustang, don't forget the mustang is not running 200hp and pluse it weights alot more then mines. I also beat a dodge ram 1500, he burned out alittle and that gave me enough time to take it. Also my eclipse is a DOHC not a SOHC like a neon, i've smoked my sare of neons!

oh i believe u, i just didnt expect an eclipse gs to be able to pull away from v6 mustang at a roll, since u prob only have like 160hp. i believe u though, its just a little surprising.

there a dohc neons, with the same motor as u have.

what year mustang is this? the new ones run mid to high 15s

V6 Mustangs from 1996-1998 have 150HP, tops. Their quarter times range from 16.2 to 17.0 flat (5-speed to auto)...no better than a stock Civic. The 1999 and above V6's have 190HP and run from 16.2 to mid-15's (remember, the newer ones are heavier, too).

Bottomline, they are SLOOOOOOOOW.
