Unless you can mount antenna's 8' apart they can't be really tuned for best effect. When I was really into CB including sideband I had a 96" 1/4 wave single antenna mounted to the passenger side rear bumber of my P.U.. Gives you best access to oncomming traffic. Stop by truck stop to find somebody to "peak and high freq." your radio. Maybe ad a little amp..

Jrmcx is correct in the 8ft mark. I have a Ram 2500 and added two power sticks to the truck but one of them is just for the looks. I run the CB off of one antena. I also added a little 250 amp to help.
Unless you are running high power a fiberglass stick from Wally World will do just fine. Be sure to get the antena with the wires or coils inside the antena. I found that the ones that have the wire or coil running on the outside will break at the base from hitting trees or other things like parking garage roofs. When I know I have to go into a parking garage I tie the antenas down to clear the top but sometimes you enter a place and the cars behind you are in a hurry so you have to at least get out of there way to stop and tie the antenas.
Be sure to have your SWR's checked if you do not have a meter. The meter on the CB, if you have one, is not for setting them and is not very good at checking.

I use Francis whips. They work good and they don't cost much. As long as you have a kicker it doesn't really matter what kind of whips you have.
