I know what it means... Add coolant.. But, the res. tank is full. Any ideas...I just put everything back together tonight (See posting: White Smoke) Did I miss something or do something wrong?

The bleed valve on the metal tube in front...Does that need to be closed or leave it open? I filled it full of water/coolant and it started dribbling out of it.

Also, My temp guage stays around 3/4 before the fan kicks on. Is there any way to make it come on sooner?

the bleeder valve needs to stay closed, which brings me to my next question: Did you properly bleed the coolant system? There could be an air bubble trapped around the sensor. When you fill the car back up with antifreeze, make sure the bleeders are open, then close them when you install the radiator cap and start it.

Where is the sensor for this type/year of car?

Not positive, but it think it should be somewhere on the radiator

The sensor is at the coolant reservoir tank bottom (for my 96 Cav LS). I had had the same problem and was told to tap the sensor area with a screw driver (use the head to tap). After numerous (light) taps and my light stayed on. Then I was told to hit it harder; and I did and the light went off...

No worries...I think it was just an air bubble...After the flush and fill, I drove it for 3 miles or so... Light went out. DONE...FINISHED...

Okay..it is back...seems to come on after a few minutes of stop and go driving. My temp stays within the normal operating range. Any Ideas?

Sounds like the sensor. I've heard it goes bad frequently. Should be somewhere on bottom of reservoir, like Lanning said.
