When I push the A\C button on my 99 SLT with computerized climate control the light just flashes 3 times then goes out. Anybody know what causes this? I usually leave both the fan and the air direction dial in auto and the A/C light stays on all the time. Thanks

At what directional setting does it blink at?

Thanks for the reply. Both selectors were in the auto setting. It seems to work ok when the outside temperature is around 40 or above. Not that I need air cond. at 40 degrees, but was just curiuos as why you can't run the air when the outside temp is below 40

Isn't that smart.

It must have a sensor that stop you from turning it on by mistake a freeze locking the system when the temperature is too cold.

I don't think this is a problem bro, you don't need it below that temp so get on the road and enjoy your truck.
