My 1971 F100 wont start! It is just a summer run work truck that needs a lot of work. However, it generally starts each summer without problem. This year it will turn over, and start, but as soon as i rev the gas a number of times, it dies and will not continue running. THen it will turn over and over again, sometimes starting, only to stop again. I filled the tank with new gas, so that should be fine.
I was told it could be the timing or distributor. Any suggestions?

Be sure you do not have rusted fuel lines. When vehicles set for long periods they tend to rust.Change fuel filter.
