Ok, I have a 97 gsx with manual transmission for sale. It has some work done to it but its mainly stock. Here is a list of the parts that the car has installed.

6 bolt block
4G64 Crank
new clutch
eagle rods
wiseco pistons .20 over
hks cams 264/272
hybrid 14b turbo
b&m short shifer
rr uicp
tires pratically brand new
magnecore 10mm plug wires
new water pump
new coil pack

why is he selling it? always a good question to ask. if you talk to them in person or on the ophone and they stumble when you ask it usually means somethinmg is wrong with the car that they arent telling you. have they dyno'ed it?

What does "hybrid 14b turbo" mean? Find out some more details, see what condition the car is in, and then think about it more seriously.

P.S. That's not anywhere near "mainly stock"

Be sure to talk to the owner before making any decisions. Try to ask as many questions as you can, make sure he knows what he is talking about. As 1gen said if the guy stumbles when you ask him questions then that means there is something wrong. Also the car is nowhere close to stock, so that is another thing to think about. How is the actual condition of the car?

Why the hell is he selling that? Even if the guy answers you quickly it could be because he's made an excuse in preparation for that... I'd say spend the extra mula and bring along a mechanic, a dyno would be great too. But for a car like that, expect a minimum price of $6000 IMO. One serious inspection is in order for that car, because it jus sounds too suspicious.

aftermarket parts add nothing to the value to a car. just ask me i tried to buy a dsm with a lot of upgrades for like 2k over blue book and no one would fincance it because its not worth it.

no one can finance a car for over blue book, unless the have the amount over blue book in cash. which most people don't

so answer is its worth blue book about $7k
