Side Mirror

My car has a lot of scratches and faded paint on my side view mirrors and I was wondering how hard (if possible) would it be to remove the stock side view mirrors from the door so it'll be easier to paint? If it is possible to do without modifications of some sort, what do I need to do?

All you want to do is remove the stock side mirrors? There is a plastic cover on the inside of the door over where the backside of the mirror mount base would be, remove it. 3 nuts hold the mirror on. Unplug the electrical connection and remove the 3 nuts. Sometimes the bottom nut is a pain to get to and removing the door panel makes life easier. Installation is the reverse of removal.

It might be cheaper to get aftermarket mirrors vice painting your stock ones. You can get the spoon knock-offs dirt cheap on eBay.

I need to do the wiring for my mirrors. I have signal lights also that I am not sure how to do. I am thinking of running wires all the way to the signal lights in front. But would like to know if there is a better way. I have a 95 acura integra.
